Perception of LOVE

PreviousNext

MY LOVE IS A TENDER BEING WITHIN ME WHERE IT REIGNS MY HEART . I FEEL IT CLOSE TO MY BEING … THE POWER OF LOVE!

A very powerful emotion, would be the most probable answer?

But what exactly is Love? Is it wonderful feeling when your heart thumps in your chest, or is it the feeling that comes when we blush a noticeable scarlet in our cheeks. You know when they say that you’re in love, things suddenly seem brighter, days spent feeling as if you were on top of the world, and not one little thing would get to you cause you suddenly see all the solutions. Well you’re right, love is all that and much more.

Now let me ask this question. In our everyday lives packed with busy schedules, how many of us have time for love? With all our endeavors, do we even know what true love is ? The answer would be NO. we just have a fair idea of some sort. How many of us really understand what we know as love ? The answer is “not many”. Well that’s true right? We all have felt it.

Yep, this little thing of four letters called “LOVE” comes by some miracle and as they say changes our entire life. We are all bound to experience it, even those who are of the lowest kind, through some simple act of kindness they get a glimpse of what love can offer, what love is about. It matters not of what age we are, LOVE is part of our lives from the day we are born to the day we breathe our last. LOVE is present in our mother’s loving gestures to hope and faith that radiates from our loved ones and keeps us alive till the very end. Love is always there even if we are not aware of it. Love surrounds us in every stage of life. From the day we are born as a baby, raised by our mother’s gentle care, and then as we grow as a child, where love seems to be the only existent home, where a simple act of love can bring a smile and a twinkle into a child’s tearful face. A simple hug from our mother’s makes us feel that we are special no matter what anyone says.

Then as we go on to the awkward stage of life known as adolescence, we now advance toward teenage, we see life differently from when we were a child, and this prospect confuses and scares us. We notice and feel things, we have never known before. We feel as if we are not wanted anymore and we become depressed. Yet, love is still around. Through a few encouraging words our troubles seem smaller, our problems minimize. A hug and a simple” I love you “make us feel on top of the world.

Then we move on to being an adult. By now we are mature and independent and we can keep our emotions in love, yet what is point of love without life. Love comes as a blessing, when we feel our troubles weighing us down, the pressure keeping us awake for nights on end, and we feel like we can take no longer. Love comes to the rescue.

With a little loving, the light shines again, darkness becomes day, problems no longer hold us back, love has found a way. Even upon entering the last stage of life, love is still around. Even though we are old love still touches our heart in little ways in the smile and happiness of our grandchildren. In the little things they do for you, a paper heart saying you are the best in the whole world, a loving hug or even just the sight your grandchild looking up to you, wonder present in her eyes for before her is a great human who has given out love with no hesitation, who has stood up for you, someone who has given you no reason to fear. Her small warm hands lie in your old and lifeless ones as you take your last breathe a small smile on the corners of your mouth, you are finally in peace after this small display of love.

Oh sleeping child!! Memories pass by you, time passes by, and you realize what love is and what it meant in your life. You notice the child in front of you, holding your hands tightly, and her hair gently touching her cheeks. She is fast asleep, her head gently laid upon your lap, she is the last reminder of love before you die. Your mind is at rest finally, this is what you have been living so long to witness. Old you may be, but in your heart you are still a child, a child of god. You are led by angels to the lord himself, you are a child again, and you are with your father, the lord god, OUR MODEL OF LOVE!

Hi,
I just loved the essay! Love is indeed a magical word which is expressed very well in your writing. Mature yet very tender, the core of this write-up touched me. I am not very fond of spiritual or descriptive write-ups and this is my first time reading one. So I couldn't stop myself from leaving a comment here.
I will not go into the grammatical part, the others have, already. It is the essence of love that is captured well.
Hats off to you.

Thanks alot! please do keep reviewing my work!

thanks alot for the review! i will keep you posted!

<3 You are the best, this essay just made my day. *hugs* I just love how you have depicted love here, is such a selfless emotion, yet it can be reflected in the smallest of gestures. Keep these up!

No, I can't bring myself to criticize love. Unfortunately.

aer123 here for a review!

You give an thorough argument in the essay, and answer the question thoughtfully. What I noticed instantly was the missing words after 'teenage' and the repeated use of 'Love'. Love is your topic of the paragraph, so it makes sense not to repeat it constantly, but rather use the ':' to state that you are going to give a list of traits, not to bore the reader with repetition. A other problem was spelling, but not throughout the work, only at the end: when you used 'lord', 'god', 'father' and, 'himself'. All these must be in capital letters, you are referring to a name, which must be spelt correctly otherwise it is a place. Quite a difference!

I liked the last and fourth paragraphs a lot! Descriptive is the way to go. You weave the reader to continue to follow your views, a very good quality when writing essays. You describe the process thoughtfully to the reader, and you don't hit him in the face with absolute facts. A quality that deserves a star fro effort! Well written otherwise. You convey a crystal clear picture to me, and I believe everyone, who read this! Your efforts in the future will pay of well. Your other work must also be impressive, so I wait in anticipation for the next literary work that flow from your precious mind!

Yours truly,
